This talk covers the history of acupuncture from its inception through modern times, the theory of Qi and Meridians used to support its practice, and the current evidence for the efficacy of acupuncture.

Dr. Dan Mangum is a primary care physician at the Advantage Medical Group in Tigard, Oregon, and has practiced internal medicine for 30 years. He received his medical degree from California; he attended Cal State Fullerton, receiving a major in biology and minor in Chemistry. He’s an avid fly fisherman.
