Tour the Lorry Lokey Integrated Science Complex

November 15, 2007

6:00 pm

Meet at the sundial rock between Huestis and Deschutes Halls on the right side of 13th Street.

Members are invited to tour the Lorry Lokey Integrated Science Complex, a new nano- and microtechnology laboratory at the University of Oregon. Our tour guide will be laboratory manager John Donovan. This is a state of the art shared analytical facility for major instrumentation. It is located entirely underground and built deep into undisturbed bedrock to minimize ambient vibration and constructed to reduce stray EMI fields to allow characterization of materials on the smallest (nano) scales possible.

Join us for a no-host dinner at Louie’s Village across Franklin Blvd from the University of Oregon campus. Even if you are unable to attend the tour, you are welcome to join us for dinner.
