Tour our national repository for the collection of small fruit and nut and learn how our nation’s genetic resources are maintained. We will see the tissue cultures, the lab for molecular analysis, and seed and living plant collections; learn why these collections are so important to our future and our food supply; and discuss how these collections are used, maintained and managed.

We will view the movie Seeds of Time as an introduction for Saturday’s tour to the Corvallis genebank. Seeds of Time is a movie about the establishment of the Norwegian “doomsday” seed vault and discusses the importance of seed banks and plant collections.
